Diversity originates in the surrounding communities. FSU values the input of the greater community at large, and
seeks to contribute back to the community in a meaningful way. Examples include:
WFSU is a member of the Community Classroom Consortium, an organization of about 30 local institutions that provide informal
education to the community. Through various grants and support from the Mayor's office, WFSU works on Raising Readers programs
in the local schools, hosting numerous events including reading camps. WFSU also hosts in conjunction with the National High
Magnetic Field Laboratory a nationally recognized SciGirls program, a 2-week camp engaging girls in science. http://www.magnet.fsu.edu/education/students/programs/scigirls.html
