How to Retire:
Pension Plan
- Contact Human Resources Benefits three to six months prior to your anticipated date of retirement.
- Request an estimate of retirement benefits by completing the information request form. (optional)
- Apply for retirement by completing the Service Retirement Forms Packet. Once completed, turn the forms in to Human Resources Benefits.
- Meet with Human Resources Benefits for information regarding continuation of insurance coverage.
DROP
- Advise the Division of Retirement at (850) 487-4856 or Human Resources Benefits of your termination date approximately six to eight weeks in advance
- The Division of Retirement will send the DROP Termination Notification (DP-TERM) and DROP Selected Payout Method (DP-PAYT) forms to you. Once completed, turn the forms in to Human Resources Benefits
- Meet with Human Resources Benefits for information regarding continuation of insurance coverage.
