Rebecca Peterson serves as the Associate Director for Faculty Relations in Human Resources, overseeing labor relations and compliance issues involving faculty. Rebecca also serves as the University's Co-Chief Negotiator for the Collective Bargaining Agreement with the United Faculty of Florida - Graduate Assistant Unit and is the Contract Administrator for all academic bargaining units on campus (faculty and graduate assistant). Additionally, Rebecca oversees Human Resources functions at FSU Panama City.
Rebecca graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management in May of 2009 when she joined FSU Human Resources team. Since then, she has held several different roles, including Senior HR Specialist in Employee & Labor Relations, where she was responsible for labor relations involving staff, performance management, Unemployment Compensation hearings, and investigations related to disciplinary actions. Rebecca is a certified Public Employer Labor Relations Associate and is currently working towards her Master's Degree. Before joining the FSU HR team, Rebecca worked in academic advising at Tallahassee Community College.
