Rebecca Peterson serves as the Assistant Director for Faculty Relations in Human Resources, overseeing labor relations and compliance issues involving faculty. Rebecca also serves as the University's Co-Chief Negotiator for the Collective Bargaining Agreement with the United Faculty of Florida - Graduate Assistant Unit and is the Contract Administrator for all academic bargaining units on campus (faculty and graduate assistant).
Rebecca graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management in May of 2009 when she joined FSU Human Resources team. Since then, she has held several different roles, including Senior HR Specialist in Employee & Labor Relations, where she was responsible for labor relations involving staff, performance management, Unemployment Compensation hearings, and investigations related to disciplinary actions. Rebecca is a certified Public Employer Labor Relations Associate and is currently working towards her Master's Degree. Before joining the FSU HR team, Rebecca worked in academic advising at Tallahassee Community College.
