Timesheet Guidelines For Entering Time In OMNI HR


There are two (2) options for entering time in the OMNI HR System. Departments are encouraged to use option #1, as the University strives to eliminate paper timesheets. Please remember when choosing a method of time entry that an immediate supervisor MUST ALWAYS either click the approve button in OMNI HR or sign off on a paper timesheet if a third party is approving the time in the OMNI HR System. A third party should never enter or approve time for an employee without the signature of the immediate supervisor verifying the time worked and/or leave is correct.

Option 1:

Employee enters time and leave in OMNI HR Self Service and a Supervisor approves time and leave in Manager Self Service.

Each employee is responsible for time and leave entry in Self Service and the supervisor corrects errors and approves time and/or leave in Manager Self Service.

Option 2:

A Departmental Representative enters and/or approves time and leave in OMNI HR Manager Self Service.

A designated representative must receive a signed and approved paper timesheet and/or Pay and Leave Report from an employee and their supervisor prior to entering, approving, or correcting time and leave in Manager Self Service.
