2021-2022 Tuition Scholarship for Dependents and Spouses

HR Important Announcement

This message to all faculty and staff has been approved by Renisha Gibbs, Associate Vice President for Human Resources and Finance & Administration Chief of Staff.

We are pleased to announce that the University is continuing the Tuition Scholarship Program for Dependents and Spouses for academic year 2021-2022. Florida State University provides dependent children and spouses of full-time faculty and staff with a scholarship opportunity to obtain tuition assistance for an undergraduate or graduate education at FSU. Only one dependent or spouse per family will be eligible for the academic year.

The Office of Human Resources is now accepting applications. HR will randomly select a limited number of eligible dependent children and spouses from the pool of applicants. The number of applicants selected for the scholarship is based on funding availability. Therefore, all eligible applicants are not guaranteed to receive the scholarship.

Scholarship Offerings
For each eligible dependent child or spouse selected, the University provides the cost of the matriculation tuition fee for six (6) hours of undergraduate/graduate tuition, per semester, for the 2021-2022 academic year. Please note, scholarship recipients are responsible for all other fees, including those related to books, supplies, building, capital improvement, student financial aid, activity and service, athletic, health, transportation, etc.

Eligibility
University employees are eligible to apply for the scholarship for their dependents or spouses if they are salaried faculty and staff (A&P, USPS, AEX) who have completed one year of full-time, continuous service by August 9, 2021.
