Open Enrollment: October 19 – November 6

Open Enrollment is your annual opportunity to change insurance benefits that are offered by the State of Florida (i.e., health, dental, vision, etc.). Open Enrollment starts Monday, October 19, 2020, at 8:00 a.m. (ET) and ends Friday, November 6, 2020, at 6:00 p.m. (ET).

You will receive an Open Enrollment informational packet from the Department of Management Services (DMS) via mail to your home address by mid-October. To ensure that you receive this information in a timely manner, please verify your home and mailing addresses and preferred email address in OMNI HR, and make any corrections needed through Employee Self-Service no later than September 25, 2020. People First will send communications using the preferred email address. Please thoroughly review all materials included in the packet that you receive.

Your People First User ID will be provided in your informational packet. Use this ID to log in to the People First website. If you do not know your password, click the ‘forgot password’ link to reset it. Enrollment changes should be made through the People First website.

All changes made during Open Enrollment will go into effect on January 1, 2021. Deductions will start with the December 4, 2020, paycheck. If you are enrolled in a Flexible Spending Account or Health Savings Account, those deductions will start with the January 15, 2021, paycheck.

OPS employees who are eligible for 2021 benefits will be notified by People First of their eligibility via mail by mid-October.

Annual Benefits and Wellness Fair

Due to COVID-19, there will be no in-person Benefits Fair this year. However, the Division of State Group Insurance (DSGI) will be holding live webinars from all the vendors. In the coming weeks, DSGI will send a schedule of the webinars and a registration link for employees. The Benefits office will also communicate the schedule.
