2022-2023 Faculty Salary Increases

This message to all faculty has been approved on behalf of President Richard McCullough.
Dear FSU Faculty,
As mentioned in my previous announcement, we are committed to investing in our dedicated faculty members. In recognition of your vital contributions to Florida State University, I am pleased to announce a recurring compensation enhancement plan.
As part of the plan, I have implemented a 4% performance increase for eligible faculty. The increase will be effective September 16, 2022, and will be reflected on the October 7, 2022, paycheck. A 1.25% merit pool and a $750,000 market equity pool will also be implemented. These increases are in addition to our competitive promotional raises and sustained performance increases.
As always, increases for faculty represented by a bargaining unit will be implemented according to their respective bargaining agreement.
A separate communication from the Office of Human Resources to Deans, Directors, and Department Heads addressing departmental funding sources, effective dates, and other requirements will be sent in the coming days.
Thanks in part to the outstanding efforts of our faculty, FSU has been ranked a Top 20 Public University by U.S. News & World Report the past three years. In addition, U.S. News ranked 20 of FSU’s graduate programs and specialties in the Top 25 among public universities last spring. Our faculty have demonstrated commitment to delivering quality education to our students, which has undoubtedly contributed to the university's overall success.
