Final Reminder: Personal Holiday & Appreciation Day Deadline
This message has been approved by Shelley Lopez, Program Director, Communications/Special Projects, for distribution to all Department Representatives.
This is a final reminder that employees will lose their 2022–2023 Personal Holiday (USPS) or Appreciation Day if not taken on or before June 30, 2023.
Employees unable to use their 2022-2023 Personal Holiday or Appreciation Day on or before June 30, 2023, can replace a vacation day with their Personal Holiday and/or Appreciation Day. This action will return the vacation leave hours to the employee’s available vacation balance. The change must be entered and approved by June 30, 2023. If the entry is more than 90 days in the past, submit a myFSU Service Center case to HR-Time, Attendance & Leave queue requesting the change.
The 2023–2024 Personal Holiday will be available for use by eligible USPS employees on July 1, 2023. The Appreciation Day was only granted for the 2022-2023 fiscal year and will not be available beginning July 1, 2023.
