FSU Launches Search for Assistant Vice President for Public Safety and Chief of Police
This message to all students, faculty and staff has been approved by Kyle Clark, Senior Vice President for Finance & Administration.
Dear Campus Community,
I am writing to announce the initiation of the search process for the position of Assistant Vice President for Public Safety and Chief of Police at Florida State University. While the search is underway, Barbara O'Connor will serve as Interim Assistant Vice President for Public Safety, and Justin Maloy will serve as Interim Police Chief. I am very appreciative of their efforts.
The university has named an 11-person search committee and retained LINDAUER, a global executive search firm, to facilitate the search. Renisha Gibbs, Associate Vice President for Human Resources and Finance & Administration Chief of Staff, will chair the search committee. For more information, including the position advertisement and how to apply, visit the search website.
On May 15, 2024, members of the search committee and Paula Hurley Fazli, Senior Vice President of LINDAUER, will host a listening session. This is an opportunity for campus constituents to share their thoughts regarding the qualities sought in the new Assistant Vice President for Public Safety and Chief of Police. The committee will use information gathered from this session to develop the criteria by which candidates will be evaluated.
As members of the University community, we invite you to provide feedback.
