Staff Paid Parental Leave Benefit

Important Announcement

This message to all faculty and staff has been approved by Renisha Gibbs, Associate Vice President for Human Resources and Finance & Administration Chief of Staff.

Dear Colleagues,

I am pleased to share the new Paid Parental Leave benefit for staff employees. Effective August 1, 2021, staff will be eligible for one paid leave of absence following the birth or placement of a child through adoption. The benefit is available for births and adoptions occurring on or after August 1, 2021.  

Please review the linked policy above to learn more about the eligibility criteria and return to work commitment for employees who wish to utilize this benefit. In a few weeks, we will host an open Zoom meeting to discuss the new benefit at length. Please be on the lookout for future communications.
