Applications for the 2020-2021 Advance Leadership Development Program Due July 13, 2020

This message has been approved by Renisha Gibbs, Associate Vice President for Human Resources and Finance & Administration Chief of Staff, for distribution to all Deans, Directors, and Department Heads.

The application for participation in the 2020-2021 Advance Leadership Development Program will open on May 13, 2020. This program, sponsored by the Office of Human Resources, is designed to foster the growth and development of high performing and emerging leaders at Florida State University. Participants for the program are selected through an application process. The application deadline is midnight, July 13, 2020. The program begins in September 2020. 

Each participant must be a regular status employee who is in a mid-level manager/senior-level professional staff position (A&P Grade 005 and above) or faculty classification.

We are seeking employees who (at a minimum):

  • Have two years of continued service at FSU as of September 2020;
  • Have demonstrated interest in further development as a leader;
  • Have the support of their supervisor; and
  • Are able and committed to participate in required workshops and events.

A cohort of 25 employees will be selected to participate through a competitive application process. All eligible employees are encouraged to apply. We also encourage employees who have applied in the past but were not selected to re-apply for the upcoming program year.
