This message to faculty, staff and OPS employees has been approved by Renisha Gibbs, Associate Vice President for Human Resources and Finance & Administration Chief of Staff.

FSU and Gabor Financial Solutions are pleased to announce a special open enrollment for Group Whole Life Insurance. This special open enrollment will run through December 9, 2022. It is independent of the State of Florida’s annual benefits open enrollment. 

FSU’s Group Whole Life Insurance Overview:

All eligible* FSU employees may purchase up to $100,000 of Guaranteed Issue** Life Insurance with no medical questions or exams. 

This valuable coverage, offered by Gabor Financial Solutions in partnership with the MassMutual Life Insurance Company, provides employees with a simple way to obtain:
•    Guaranteed Death Benefit Protection
•    Guaranteed Cash Value Accumulation
•    Guaranteed Level Premiums
•    Chronic Illness Benefits

Additional Features:

  • Eligible* Employees – No medical exam or health questions for up to $100,000** of coverage
  • Spouses or domestic partners may qualify for $25,000 or $50,000 of coverage
  • Dependent children may qualify for $25,000 of coverage 
  • An Accelerated Death Benefit for Chronic Care
  • Portable Coverage – You can take your policy with you without an increase in premiums
  • Offered through convenient payroll deduction

*Eligibility applies to all faculty and full-time staff in a benefits-eligible position or part-time employees with .50 FTE in a benefits-eligible position*
**Any amount of Guaranteed Issue Group Whole Life Insurance previously issued to you by MassMutual is deducted from the amount for which you are eligible under this program**
