Onboarding Training – New Online Module and System Navigation Changes

The University’s Onboarding Portal streamlines the completion of employment forms, background checks, and other pre-employment requirements, making it easier to get your employees up and running. This is a critical process, and we are pleased to announce that effective today, the FSU Onboarding Training for Department Representatives class will be available as an interactive, self-paced online module in Canvas.
If you are a new Department Representative, serve as a backup to your Department Representative, or would like to refresh your knowledge about the Onboarding Portal, this class is for you!
System Navigation Changes
As part of this change, we have updated the module name in OMNI. To access the portal from the NavBar Menu, search under “O“ for “Onboarding” instead of “S”:
To access the portal from the Department Administration/HR Administration tiles or Manager Self-Service, click on “FSU Onboarding”:
Additional resources are available on the Onboarding web page. The Office of Human Resources will continue to evaluate training offerings and plans to move additional classes to this online platform. Our goal is to provide the information you need to ensure a seamless hiring process for your candidates.
How to Register
- Go to my.fsu.edu. Sign in with your FSU employee credentials. Under MYFSULINKS, select HR > Employee Self-Service > Learning and Development > Request Training Enrollment.
- Use course number BTSMT0 to enroll in the online self-paced module.
