LinkedIn Sourcing and Sponsored Jobs

Message to deans, directors, department heads, and department representatives

This message has been approved by Renisha Gibbs, Associate Vice President for Human Resources and Finance & Administration Chief of Staff, for distribution to all Deans, Directors, and Department Heads.

Talent Acquisition is a new resource within Central Human Resources committed to supporting the University’s employer brand, recruitment strategy, talent sourcing, and pipeline development, with particular emphasis on hard-to-fill and high-impact positions.

As hiring volumes increase and competition for qualified talent continues to tighten, Talent Acquisition is focused on strengthening enterprise-level sourcing capabilities that reduce time-to-fill and expand qualified applicant pools for posted roles. Talent Acquisition is committed to remaining a resource and partner throughout your complex talent searches without adding additional process burden to departments.

With that in mind, we are pleased to share that we have completed a centrally managed pilot implementation of Enterprise LinkedIn Recruiter.

What this means:

  • All posted FSU jobs now receive expanded visibility across LinkedIn’s 1 billion-member professional network under FSU JOBS on LinkedIn.  (Link accessible once logged into LinkedIn.)
  • We are also pleased to offer ‘Sponsored Job’ postings for qualified hard-to-fill roles.
  • Jobseekers can now apply directly through LinkedIn, with applications seamlessly flowing into PeopleSoft for standard review and routing procedures.
  • Sponsored postings, proactive sourcing, resume mining, and job seeker outreach through LinkedIn will be managed by Talent Acquisition on the backend.
  • As needed, Talent Acquisition may collaborate with you and hiring leadership to help refine candidate profiles and optimize sourcing strategies for especially challenging roles.

Important:

  • There is NO CHANGE to Department Representatives’ processes or responsibilities. Posting, posting approvals, and hiring workflows remain unchanged.

THANK YOU for your continued partnership as we work together to strengthen FSU’s recruitment capabilities and student success throughout 2026.
