Shelley Lopez serves as the Program Director for Communications/Special Projects in Human Resources, overseeing all HR communications and providing direction and support for HR initiatives and special projects. Shelley also chairs the Human Resources policy committee and serves as the chief liaison with HR department representatives across campus.

Shelley graduated from the University of West Florida with a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Communication in 2008. While earning her degree at UWF, Shelley was part of their competitive speech team. Shelley also coached the Ball State Speech Team at Ball State University while she earned a Master’s Degree in Rhetoric & Interpersonal Communication. Shelley has worked as an adjunct instructor at several colleges teaching courses such as: Public Speaking, Interpersonal Communication, and Introduction to Mass Mediated Communication. Her most recent experience was in Human Resources at the Florida Department of Children & Families, where she served as a Research & Training Specialist. While there, she designed and implemented Leadership Development Curriculum.
