Prior communication from the Florida Department of Management Services (DMS) indicated telehealth services were available during the current public health emergency. Under Executive Order #20-276, extended through Executive Order #20-52, and extended again through Executive Order #20-85, the Florida Department of Management Services (DMS) amended its state plans to include telehealth services.
Effective January 1, 2021 and moving forward, telehealth services are covered for the State’s HMO and PPO plan members. Services must be received from participating healthcare practitioners acting within the scope of their licenses and Florida law. Co-payments will apply.
Contact your health plan provider to learn more about covered telehealth services.
