Florida State University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACSCOC).   Additionally, many of our colleges and programs hold accreditation through accrediting agencies or governing bodies.

Rankings

Florida State is ranked in the Top 20 among national public universities in U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Colleges” guidebook. FSU also holds the Carnegie Commission classification of “Doctoral Universities: Highest Research Activity,” and is designated a Preeminent University by the State of Florida.
