Florida State University's Office of Continuous Improvement &Training (CIT) is responsible for assisting in the achievement of strategic goals and objectives of the FSU organization through a focused delivery of workplace training and personal development among University employees.
To maximize convenience and accessibility of training for our employees, CIT offers these learning opportunities in classroom and online format. Supervisory approval is required if employees attend a class during their regular work hours, which is then considered time worked. Classes are free of charge to FSU employees.
Introducing the Leaders in Training (L.I.T.) Program
This energy-packed, cohort-based experience designed for staff and faculty, provides leadership development to employees over eight weeks of immersive and interactive training. If you have the desire to improve your leadership skills and build relationships with other like-minded people across campus, then you are encouraged to complete an application.
APPLICATION UPDATE: We are excited to have filled our first class of the L.I.T. program. It started off with an information-filled, two-day leadership boot camp. The next cohort/class begins on May 9th. If you are interested in participating, please complete the application found on the L.I.T. Program website. It has been made available now to provide adequate time for both you and your manager to complete the necessary information. We will only accept official applications submitted between April 3rd through April 21st. The program filled very quickly this last time, so it is important to get your application in as soon as possible, after applications open on April 3rd. The class fills with approximately 20 participants. Please note that your manager also needs to complete a portion of the application so please plan that into your timeline. Review the outline and commitment related to successful completion of the program prior to application. For Program information, please visit the L.I.T. Program website. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. Thank you and we look forward to speaking with you soon.
